After the horrendous issues with the HP2000 and 3000 series printers, and the
*long* list of issues I logged against those devices, I looked at the 5000s
with some well deserved scepticism! To my eye only a modest number of the
previous issues had been dealt with. I would concede the ink longevity issue
without question (after all thats what the 9500 is for) and admit the new HPs
exceed their own previous print quality by a long shot, but without in-house
testing, I still have difficulty believing that the 5000 series is God's
answer to wide format. The significant price differences between the Epsons
and HPs should be noted as well, and the upcoming ten thousand series from
Epson should be considered (but you didn't hear such baseless rumors from
*me* <G>).
