At one time, someone suggested you couldn't profile a Leaf (but I don't see
why not). I don't recall every doing one. If you scan in 16 bit, the scanner
should be providing pretty raw data so it should be ideal for profiling.

The ICC Scan from Profile City is about the most reasonably priced product
I've used for doing this and there is a link on their web page where you can
purchase the IT8 target. The software is $149 so add $100 or so for the
target and you're off and rolling.
