Profile Editing (Black Generation)

I am continuing to research the black generation issues with the BEST rip
and the Epson 7000 and 9000 printers.

I can adjust the gray balance in the 'edit' part of PrintOpen, but I do not
want to adjust the appearance of the output, just the way it's 'inked'.

I am able to build profiles in PrintOpen 4.0 PC (I am looking for the 4.0.1
updater if any one has it) which I can set the black generation down to
skeleton and only in gray.

This minimizes the application of the black ink within the mid-tones and the
pastels, but I am really looking at editing the profile, to further reduce
the black generation.

I have built CMY profiles, and this gives me what I want, except that deeper
shadow details are lost.

Basically I want the best of both worlds.

Darrin.
