The monitor profile handling mechanism in PS5 converts a LUT-based monitor profile to a single gamma profile for viewing as far as I'm aware. It also converts a LUT-based monitor profile to a single gamma profile, if you select 'Monitor RGB' / 'Simplified Monitor RGB' as 'working space'.
