It has a RIP, is Colorsync compatible but there are some important

Yes, this is an important aspect in a contract proof. If you use the same
RIP'ed data, you will have the overprint/knockout options, trapping, etc.,
as well as avoid nasty surpises with fonts, etc. in your proof - which can
happen if you send a different PS file for proofing. Keep in mind, however,
that this is rasterized and not screened data (you will not get a screen
simulation) - until inkjet printers can print at 2400, this will not be
possible.
