Tags by themselves don't make a difference to the network. The only way I
could see this as possible would be if the profile which is being embedded
was close to, or larger than, the size of the image itself. If your client
is using very, very small images then maybe a large profile ( 2-3 mb) would
increase the time it takes to transfer noticeable. Otherwise it's just data
going over the wire, and will take x amount of time.
