I promised a client to ask for some help re delays in image transfer
over a network.
What is happening is high res CMYK eps files are being called from a
colour server to a workstation for placement into Quark. These images
have embedded profiles and the problem is that they are taking an
excessive amount of time to come across the network.
When the client does a "save as" but leaves the embed profile unchecked,
the images fly across the network. The conclusion is that somehow the
tags are causing this delay in transmission.
It seems implausable but I would appreciate some collective guidance
from the group.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
