Many do separate the 2 terms ...

... as an after thought, and remembering the context of this thread,
I remember PS6 does NOT distinguish between "profile" and "color
space", therefore why should we?? I might think we should, and that
we think in terms of color spaces being device "dependent" and
"independent" ... especially since PS6 will let you edit using a
totally inappropriate device dependent color space.
