Boy, I'd sure like someone from GretagMacbeth to officially comment but I
*believe* it's the same as with ProfileMaker Pro. That being the case, it's
pretty liberal.
I'm also pretty sure (based on what I heard at Seybold) that with Eye-One
monitor, you can load the software on as many machines as necessary and
since the Eye-One is the dongle, you don't have to worry about site
licenses. If that's true, then the Eye-One for monitor is a screaming deal
for those that have multiple displays to calibrate.
ProfileMaker Pro 3.1.5 which was released yesterday now supports the
Eye-One. I was able to make some profiles with it and a DTP-41 UV today and
compare them side by side with the new 288 RGB patch sample. The Eye-One
produced a slightly superior profile IMHO which was surprising. Gray balance
was a tad better and tonal range was a bit extended. I'm not sure this was
due to the UV issues (I was profiling Epson papers) or the fact that the
Eye-One takes more readings per patch.
