When I look at the hours people have put into piecing this together
without documentation from Adobe, and the amount of hype poured into
the magazines wrt PDF, then it remains true that solid implementation
and good documentation are the sine qua non of productivity, and
hence of true market acceptance.
The ICC framework is built on the idea of open systems populated with
color space characterisations we as users create for the state of our
devices. We want to know what we have, and we want to know what we'll
get.
This way we can build virtual color networks with virtual color friends -:).
