David,

its shure that this xtension disturbs all kind
of displaying in QXP. Even worser, you dont even
know when. So you are wondering why your images look
fine in one document, while they look awful in another
document.

I dont think that this xtension troubles anything in
regard of an output or the document itself, although
I have nt actually tested it.
