Lab space intuitive??? Well, for Luminance adjustments, perhaps, but that
about all! Frankly, as Photoshop's capability to manipulate Luminance in RGB
files keeps improving, I find fewer reasons to consider converting to Lab...

Are those colors reproducible on any device besides a theoretical model?
I can think of plenty of reasons I would want my workingspaces not to get
clipped besides final output space size. Basicly we are asking for a
workbench longer than any of the pieces of lumber we are expected to work
with; that's not an unreasonable request.
