I have an image I've proofed on Matchprint and it's been ok'd for color
by the client.
It's a CMYK Tiff.
Now I'd like to proof it on my HP 5000 and get the same color.
Using a Wassatch rip do I select my Matchprint profile as the image
source and the HP 5000 as the destination?
Yes, set your MatchPrint profile as source, set the intent to
Relative Colorimetric, use a paper as close as doable to MatchPrint
on the HP 5000, and set your paper / ink / print mode profile for the
HP 5000 as destination.
The Wasatch RIP I don't know at all. I don't know what CMM it uses,
what level of ICC support it offers, and what profiles you are
feeding it.
BTW back in 97 when I first heard the Kodak ColorFlow project
manager, Hapet Berberian, saying that inkjets would reach proofing
quality, I thought, 'Let's see it first ...'. OK, I've seen it lately
