Roger,
These are interesting values you have posted and at this point I can
only offer my .02.
Last week we were comparing measuring instruments in my office/Lab.
We used one Spectrolino, one Eyeone and a two Digital Swatch books
to measure a 24 patch Macbeth Checker Chart.
Some of the values matched exactly some did not.
The Gretag tools were within 2-3 delta e to each other.
The Xrite tools were within 3-4 delta e to each other.
When we compared the Gretag tools to the Xrite tools there was a
greater delta e of 7 to 8.
One issue you might have uncovered is inter instrument agreement that
was used to create the various profiles you measured. My instincts
suggest there is also some variation in the profiling applications
that created these profiles.
