To which I reply: you guys are dreaming on! I for one would also love to see
this feature implemented in Photoshop. But let's face it, for how long has
LinoColor been around? With this kind of Lch support built-in?
Why, then, hasn't Adobe caught on? Doesn't Adobe know that this is a
desirable feature color professionnals around the world would give their
"right arm" for to have such a powerful tool in Photoshop? (Maybe not their
right arm, actually, but you get the picture)
There must be some formidable fundamental changes required in
Photoshop's internal color model in order to implement "true Lch" controls
that is keeping Adobe from doing this.
My guess is that we'll see this in version 10. For now, we have to contend
with flexing our brains to translate hue angles and chroma values in our
mind whenever we see a and b readouts in the Color Palette...
