I'd love to see this too. I'd love an LCH readout in the info palette as an

Yes, Yes, Yes
CIELab is definitely not very useful as an working-space, but LCH dos this job propper.
But LCH has a second advantage. In Colormanagemnt-Workflows it is necessary to evaluate and
compare the colorgamuts of several input and output colorspaces. The CIELCH(ab) is very intutive
and powerful to do such work.
By doing everyday color corrections in LCH, the operator has a visual orientation inside this
Colorspace. Being familar with LCH as a working space, it is very easy to understand, why 100%
Euroscale Yellow can not be simulatet on most Epson-Printers. (Different H, Lower C). It is also
much better understandable wich colors of the Scan or the monitor are outside of the printing
gamut, or how the perceptual gamutkompression from different profiling applications differs.
LCH is the best for understanding this parts of the colormanagement rocket-science.
If Color-Corrections on images and on profiles should be made with the same tools, there is IMHO
no better space then LCH.
I also made a lot of LinoColor-Trainings for graphic-designers. They learned very fast to make
color corrections in LCH...
Ever tried to to lower saturation in the near-neutral tones and fix it in the othet tones with
Photoshop ?
From my point of view, LCH-based Tools would be an advantage in Photoshop
