Hi there,

I've been reading this "very interesting" mailing list for a few weeks now.
Altought you lost me on a couple of subjects, I've been able to learn some very practical tips.

But I do have a question.
It may seem Very Basic to the majority of you, but again, Very useful to other freelancer, like me...

It's concerning the proper settings for my monitor, (Apple ST. Disp. 17")&(G4).

I'm talking about those located in the monitor window (Monitor-Geometry-COLOR-Preferences)

Can someone elaborate more on the COLOR section, please

White point ( what is a proper white point )
Gamme Curve ( what is a proper curve )
Light ( any recommendation for a room with NO windows )

Another very Important thing that couldn't find information on is, again,
the proper color settings for the software that I'm working with (QXPress4 / Photoshop 5.5 / Illustrator 8

I know its a lot of questions in one posting
but if any of you guys want to share some information
I will be more than happy on this very sad day

Thank you for your time

Best Regards

Phillip L
