Good point. If you make the appropriate substitutions (e.g. "scanner" or
"digital camera" for "observer", "RGB" for "XYZ", etc.), the metamerism
cases become more general. The same principles apply, though.

Yes, it would be interesting to compare the spectral reflectance curves of
the Epson pigments with something more traditional, like SWOP inks. Has
anyone done this?
