Hello ColorSync users - How does one go about linearizing an ICC profile
that has been edited?

I hope that you have linearized the print process through its own means before doing the profiling process. This is the best way to get a complete linearization and stable color over the long run.

Is the edit (a simple
output curve) a seperate component of the profile?

Yes, the linearization is a seperate component within Coloblind's data, but not within the profile itself.
Even if you re-linearize via Colorblind, the linearization feature alters the individual CMY values evenly. A complete linearization should also balance the CMY in addition to making even lightness. Bear in mind that this feature in CB was created to address print systems that have no linearization tools.

So, the bottom line is - linearize the print process before profiling to set yourself up for the long haul.
