I have been trying to make and use custom ICC profiles in Colorblind Pro
With Bestcolor
DE. ver:1.1 proofing on a Canon 8500
I follow a fairly standard procedure as follows.
1. I select Inkjet Matte in the device selection window in the printer
profile window.
2. In customize I change the name only.
3. I select linearize.
4. I select print and print the target on the Canon.
5. Once the Lin target has printed out through Bestcolor DE (with no
profiles selected) I measure it as normal using our Gretag spectroscan.
6. As I have yet to create a profile I select no when asked to update an
existing profile.
7. And then I print the new target with the linearization add to it.
8. Once the profile target (1441 steps of colour) has printed out through
Bestcolor DE ( again with no profiles selected) I measure it as normal using
our Gretag spectroscan.
9. Once the measurements are complete I create and name the profile as
normal.
Bestcolor DE (Mac)
1. In configuration setting I select a Bestcolor reference profile and then
load my new CB profile in the paper
profile window.
2. Then I print a test file which comes out heavily saturated across the
entire
tonal range.
N.B. it is only colorblind profiles that seem to cause the trouble or maybe
I'm going wrong somewhere else..
Can you help me with this?
Kind regards
Glen
