What I have been doing is trying to reduce each channel to linearise as you
are, but after I raise the TAC to allow more density in the composites2 or
three color.

Good question. If your trying to simulate 4 color press then I would think
visual confirmation is paramount. Already with the Epson yellow it's better
to visually confirm or redo the linearisation then measure the density for a
rough guideline and repeatability in future iterations of various media
combinations.
