LInearization Question

When using archival inks in our Iris we notice that the magenta is very
dark. Almost purple if we have it produce a density near what magenta
would be for a normal 4C process.

We have been reducing the density so it doesn't turn as purple. However,
I feel we're not getting the density of reds that I'd like to see.

What is the best way to determine solid ink density in linearization
when the hues are not standard process hues?
