While I can see that there may be some intellectual reasons for wanting to
experiment with the raw Captureshop data, what would I do with it besides use
third party software to create a profile which Captureshop does for me?

I have both ColorBlind Pro and Color Synergy but there is no need for them
with the Sinarback. Captureshop's "calibration" procedure already uses the
ColorChecker or ColorChecker DC to create a device profile which it then uses
for display and to export your file to a number of colorspaces. From there,
you can take it to whatever colorspace you wish with negligible loss.

Maybe if they made the raw data avalable and I had a lot of time on my hands
I would want to see if I could create a better device profile than Sinar but
since the Sinar engineers worked closely with the ColorChecker team in
developing the DC chart, I'll opt for their "bill of goods" over mine.
