I still fail to see the lure of the $3000 EyeOne package.
For your needs and the needs of many of us on this list , you find more
features and control for less money than the full Match offering. There are
many who would find the simplistic, almost automatic methods a joy to use on
their many multi-platform set ups , no hassle, no consultant (oops can I say
this?) and reasonable results often higher than their expectations to be a
bona fide reason to be 'lured' to the i1 system.
Now, given your experience you'll get better results whatever package you
use compared to a newbie or mid level color manager. So in the hands of the
users which package will fetch the best results and quickest implementation
of decent color from the time they open the box and get to
profiling/calibration?
So you're right, it costs more for less, but maybe less configuration time ,
less headaches, less questions to support, much less for doing site monitor
calibration, less time reading manuals, etc.
My 0.0175 Euro's (or next to nothing $CAN).
