Yes. You don't want to edit a file in input space, it can be dangerous. They
are OK for archive spaces but soon or latter you'll want to do some good ol'
Photoshop work. Working Spaces are well behaved in that R=G=B is a neutral
and the edits are usually pretty uniform over the range of the image
(depending on the gamma of the working space). So tag the scans with the
scanner profile and convert to the Working Space or scan on the fly into the
Working Space unless you want to archive a high bit raw scan (not a bad idea
at all).
