Kodak DCP9000

Is there anyone out there that has much experience with the Kodak DCP9000. I was thinking of getting one as a proofer but am unsure of its quality and how useful it would be at this point. I am unsure if it can be color managed. Also is it worth spending money on some older technology? Am I better of getting a new HP or Epson and the Best Rip for a more flexible solution?
