Could someone tell me if the NEC Mitsibushi DP920 calibrates all
three guns or just two. I'm confused and can't seem to find the posts
on this from August in the archives....TIA

No ... it does not. It allows for brightness, contrast and color K only
(plus a multitude of geometric & misc controls). However, using the
Colorvision "spyder" it measured a perfect 6500K when the DP920 was set at
6500 ... plus it allows you to modify K in 10 degree steps. For reducing
the luminosity from 115 to the desired 85, I used the contrast to control
gain of the RGB guns.
Update: I spoke to Mitsubishi (got the spelling right I think). The
900U has adjustable guns, the DP920 no. They then recommended the
Multisync tube FP955. Given the price difference between the DP920
and the FP955 next question:
Anyone using a MultiSync FP955 CRT for moderately critical color work?
Calibration issues?
TIA
