I've been off the list for a few months and apologize in advance if I am
going over old ground.
We use Epson 5000's (unfortunately with the Fiery Rip) and have tweaked the
built in simulations to give adequate representations of a matchprint.
Problem is that we had been using Epson Photo Quality Glossy paper and I
have been told that Epson is on the verge of discontinuing this product. I
have done some tests with Epson Photo paper and have been shocked to
discover that not only am I getting redder prints, but that it takes up to
an hour for the colors to stabilize and stop shifting.
I can't seem to find any info on the Epson site.
Questions.
Are they discontinuing Glossy?
Is Photo paper the best substitute for Glossy?
Is anyone else experiencing these drying issues?
If this has been discussed on the list already, can someone point me to the
relevant texts. (I tried a search but came up empty).
Thanks in advance
