Can any of you pros out there answer some questions about X-Rite's DTP-92
(monitor calibration) and DTP-22 Digital Swatchbook. I have a USB-based G4
Mac with 19" Mitisubishi Diamond Pro 920u monitor (connected via a15-pin DB
plug) with Epson Stylus 1200 and Umax Astra 2200.
Do I need an ADB adapter (eg. iMate) to connect these calibration tools to
my system, and will a less expensive adapter, if needed, work (cost factor)?
Will I be able to measure printed swatches on various papers then set up
custom profiles, which is the main reason (plus cost) I'm considering
buying used equipment. These two also seem to be supported by either
Colorshop or ColorBlind software. Are there any concerns I need to be aware
of? I'm not looking for perfection, just decent, consistent results I can
live with.
Any advice is always greatly appreciated. Thanks to all on the list.
regards,
Dennis
