Hi there,
This is a bit of a basic question really. I9ve always been fortunate enough
in the past to have always had a helpful tech person to calibrate equipment
for me so I9m not really familiar with a lot of the techniques. I9m soon to
change jobs though and I9m going to be the sole Mac operator/designer.
I9m worried about getting a reasonable colour match between proofs outputted
on my printer, what I see on screen and what eventually prints at the
external printers. Obviously ColorSync is the way to go on this one.
HOWEVER...
The set up I9ll be inheriting (G4 + studio display, running Quark, PhtShop
and Illustrator) does not include a densitometer, profiling software etc and
I don9t have a budget to get one.
At the risk of provoking the obvious answer (get a bigger budget and buy the
right equipment!) can anyone suggest what steps I should take to get as good
a colour match as possible given the limitations I have.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Rob
