Does anyone have recent experience with this software. I just received a
demo copy of it. After working with it for about 2 hours, I put out a print
on my Epson 10000CF that matched a match print within about 2-3%. I used the
canned profiles and simulation they provide for Matchprint. Looking back on
the archives for the forum I see some negative comments about the software.
But so far I have not seen any problems with the basic out of box setup. I
went through minimal parts of the manual and tutorial disk just to get a
print made and the color was extremely close. After a couple of adjustments
to settings (i.e. variable dot vs. no Variable dot and CMYK vs CcMmYK
printing) I am well within a reasonable match. I have to admit that some of
the features seem a bit extensive in Postershop, and I have yet to set it up
to work as a postscript print server, but for proofing a tiff file it's
wonderful. I would like to know of others experiences with this latest
version. I am still not sold on it.
