All,
CompassPro XT handles all file formats you can place in QuarkXPress. Items
are converted on a object-by-object basis. Moreover, CompassPro XT converts
images and vector colors separately. The user specifies input profiles for
RGB and CMYK, and an output profile. The user is not asked for a monitor
profile since we do not support an on-screen preview.
As far as not supporting device independent color, this is untrue. The
entire ICC profile system uses Lab (a device independent color space) to
perform the various color transformations.
