Yes, this is one solution, and more typical for scanners than for studio
cameras. Another is to use a better target... the Gretag Macbeth
ColorCheckerDC is at least marginally better for this. Keep in mind that the
xenon light source in your SpectroCam will also illuminate many media
differently than most studio lighting systems.
