-- Sounds like you might have the ColorSync settings inside SilverFast
doing an unneeded conversion. As I recall (somewhat hazy on this, it's been
awhile), you can specify an input profile, plus what they call an "internal"
profile (your Photoshop RGB working space), then a third option for an
output profile. If you enable #3, SilverFast serves up an image converted to
that output space (typically a CMYK printer, not sure why Stylus Photo
Standard would show up there).
If the above is what's going on, the ColorSync control panel settings are
not the issue here, instead it's inside the SilverFast interface. Just
change the output option to "none" (or "off", "don't convert", "RGB" -
whatever), and have SilverFast send an RGB file to Photoshop. This can be
tagged with your input profile if not converted from the scanner space, as
others have noted, or SilverFast can convert into your PS working space.
