Hi C. David Tobie,
Thanks very much for your detailed reply,
I am since a week in the Apple Coloursync.group mailing list, and I really
enjoy it how we can help each other.
It's really great!
BTW: I would like to ask you something more about those inks and paper if
you don't mind.

There is no single best solution, it varies with the printer, paper, image

(I am looking for the best photograpic printing of colour and need very
accurate colour reproduction as well.)
Do you know the following papers:
CRANE'S MUSEO - ARCHIVAL PAPER
FINISH: Smooth Finish - Velina Matte, Brightness 91
SOMERSET VELVET - ARCHIVAL PAPER
FINISH: Matte Finish - Radiant White
CONCORD RAG
FINISH: Matte Finish - Antique White
SOMERSET PHOTO ENHANCED
FINISH: Matte Finish - Radiant White
. It is a Legion West paper manufactured by the St. Cuthberts Mill in
England
I do like to work with the original papers from Epson designed for the
archival pigmented inks from Epson, like Premium Semi Gloss (SO41328) and
still have a lot (A3+) in stock.
I also do like the Fine art/watercolor papers from Lyson.
Are the papers in above list like the fine art watercolour papers from
Lyson? Like the standard 310 grm Standard Fine Art Paper or the one's with
less texture than the Standard Fine Art Paper?
Do above papers have any texture?? Or are they just very smooth?
Next question:
Can I use the
MIS Archival inks and Enhanced Generations Micro-Bright Pigment ink on the
Premium Semi Gloss from Epson? (I tested the Lyson inks on the Epson
papers and it is fine)
About Lyson: I also do like the look of them, but you said:

prone to color shifting under different light sources if used for B&W or Sepia
prints.
Do you mean the small gamut inks for B&W?, or the normal CMYK inks from
Lyson?
So they are not that lightfast?
And certainly not that lightfast as the pigmented inks?
You said about Lyson:

finer head printers, it seems... but great in the 3000, 5000, 7000, 9000...

I work with the Epson Pro 5500, Lyson told me that their inks should work
even better: They tested their inks on the Epson 7500/9500 and the inks
performed even better! so it should work on my Pro 5500 as well, I think?
Or do you think that the pigmented inks from MIS Archival inks and Enhanced
Generations perform better in my Epson Pro 5500 together with some papers
like CRANE'S MUSEO - ARCHIVAL PAPER and Epson Premium Semi Gloss?
(I really do like the Premium semi gloss: The surface is much stronger than
those Fine art papers and it is really giving brilliant pictures)
Thanks again for your help and information,
