good afternoon, where ever you may be - - - -
I'm looking for hints on converting the (Lab) readings
one can get with the GretagMacbeth Eye-One spectrophotometer
of printed C, M, Y, or K to dot percentage readings
like one might get from a densitometer.
Taking the L value of paper white and 100% coverage readings,
subtracting the 100% coverage from the paper white
and then dividing by 100 to get the number of L units
per 1% dot change *might* be OK for K,
but probably not for C and M, and definitely not for Y.
I've searched the Eye-One web site (www.i1color.com).
It seems too basic for this kind of question.
Could anyone please suggest other places I might look
for hints?
Thanks.
