John, I did a quick compare of your 3800 and Topaz profiles and it appears
as though either DonRGB or BestRGB (both created by Don Hutcheson) would be
a nice fit for your scanner profiles with no clipping. Both of these working
spaces go off in the greens a bit more than your scanner profiles but
otherwise they look like a good fit. I'd go with BestRGB if I were you as it
has been tweaked a bit for Fuji transparency films.
The only other warning would be in doing critical editing based on your
monitor. I threw in my LaCie electron22blue profile for comparison and,
although it appears the display profile matches up well in the blues, there
will be a huge amount of colors in the greens and reds that you will be
unable to "see" on your display.
