Don't use your scanner profile as the source since you are converting to a
Photoshop working space. Instead use the Photoshop working space as the
source with Hex Image.
I would certainly consider a working space that encompasses your
Hexachrome output profile. The whole point of Hexachrome is get more
saturated vibrant colors. Prematurely desaturating the image by converting
to a smaller working space will not retain the rich data from the scanner. I
would look towards a working space that encompasses your scanner profile and
secondarily the Hexachrome output profile.
