So more patches isn't always better.

PrintOpen is strong at CMYK but isn't so hot for RGB profiles as you've

CMYK too).

I think you have missed the point of my post.
PM has the ability to build RGB profiles equally as good as it's good CYMK
profiles. PO makes good CYMK profiles but is lacking in it's RGB support.
Whether the methodology of using a postscript CMYK rip (BEST 4.2.3) with hot
folders for RGB.tifs with embedded profiles for CYMKcm printer is flawed, or
the process does not met with an ISO, ECI or ICC standard, we are doing what
we can until the rips mature to support either RGB or CYMK input (BEST 4.5 -
or any number of other rips today)
I don't think it's 'backward hoop jumping' to try to extend the application
of a software product to enable customers to diversify the use of their
expensive equipment, as the 'hoop jumpers' are probably the ones who give
the software developers the spark (re innovation) to write code to met their
needs, rather than the other way around.
This is the second time someone has mentioned an update for Win PO 4.0.
If someone knows where I can download, email or snail mail the update to me,
I would be eternally grateful (until the next update anyhow).
As for the DTP41 white backing plate, I will chase up my X-Rite contacts for
that one.
Henrik, thanks again for you point of view and tips,
Darrin.
PS - I just read Bruce's post, but I had already typed this - but I'm
sending it anyhow . . .
