Probably.
The machine converts images to CMYK.
Any PostScript Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 RIP has to convert RGB to
CMYK, either via the Level 1 RGB to CMYK rotation or via CIEBased
procedures, so don't send RGB but color managed deviceCMYK with no
PostScript color management.
One more
critical insight from the operator was that any percentage under 20% would
go to white in the final output.
Ouch, that is way way way higher than the 'first printing point'
cut-off on an offset press.
I would very like a Xerox representative to explain to the List the
first real printing point of these machines, their print-to-print
stability, and what color architectures are involved in the RIP
options.
