you might want to call again and ask someone else. according to:
http://www.nwa.com/features/update_airport.shtml
passengers are allowed one carry-on + purse/briefcase. there's nothing there
about specific airport restrictions and as MSP is a large NW hub you'd think
there would be some notice that carry-ons were not permitted there. there is
also nothing on the MSP website about this.
however, it seems like the industry is suffering from communications
problems so what's on the web sites could be all wrong.

and call to ascertain the carry-on situation. I just booked a bunch of
flights out of here (MSP) and wasn't told anything specific about carry-ons,
but then I didn't ask.
