Yeah really. The airline industry would be totally screwed if carry on
baggage is banned. As far as I know, carry-on baggage is allowed. There
was consideration of banning it, but I think the airline industry
convinced the FAA that people simply would not be able to deal with that
for precisely the reasoning above with laptops, purses, etc.
