Did you by any chance demo the software?
The DeskCheck RIP has an easy set-up where by default you can select a
Desktop Fingerprint and a Press Fingerprint. This combination let's you
simulate the final output process, or, in other words, proof. You can also
override the nColor Engine Press Fingerprint by choosing an ICC profile in
Desktop Printer Mode. In the advanced options you can select an RGB profile,
vector matching and image matching. Finally you can also choose not to use
any profiles and print in uncalibrated mode. With the DeskCheck Calibrator
you can create your own Fingerprints that are based upon the actual spectral
measurements. Should you wish to manually create and edit color profiles you
may also want to take a look at the Signalize! Calibrator.
