Actually the latest SpectroCams are indeed UV filtered, but its important to
understand that it is the *light source* that is being filtered, not the
spectro itself. This means that no significant UV is being emitted by the
light source (which was fairly low UV already) and thus UV whiteners are not
likely to be stimulated in papers being read. This does not adversely effect
the device's abilities to read emissive spectra, however, as the sample is
not being filtered, and the light source is not being used when reading
emissive samples.
