I apologize for the redundancy if this topic has been covered
previously. I searched through a few week's worth of the mailing list
with nothing really answering my question. So here goes...
We have a prepress shop here that's used ColorSync very effectively in
an RGB workflow for about 5 years now, and we're on the verge of moving
to OS X now that Photoshop 7 is imminent. We have successfully used some
of our color management software in classic for other aspects of our
workflow, but we are at a loss as to how to create profiles for an LCD.
All of the color management applications that we use require a [PITA]
dongle that is not recognized under classic.
We have tried creating profiles in OS 9 and using them in OS X, but that
is an unacceptable hack with unacceptable results. Although the hardware
remains the same, I understand the drivers and software display
technology to be different between 9 and X.
So the questions are:
What software/hardware was used?
How accurate were the results?
Thanks in advance,
