When changing color data thru ICC you'll be passing thru the lut's in the
case of cmyk to Lab (usually) and back off to cmyk. If you want to use an
intermediate working space to edit, go to Lab to avoid clipping colors to
the finite rgb space, and quantitative rounding errors from multiple
calculations.
