Thanks... That9s pretty much my setup with possibly a slightly different
model of video card. I don't recall the exact model. Its some sort of ATI
Rage card that I've had for quite a while. I'll see if I can get a later
model to try.
I solved the problem of getting the correct system profile loaded into
Classic without having to open the monitors control panel. I used OptiCal
with a DTP-92 for monitor calibration. I simply went back to using the
OptiCal start up module... The item that went in the startup items folder.
That forces Optical to launch briefly and load the correct profiles and
LUTs. To make this work, Classic has to be launched and running before you
try to launch Photoshop. If you launch Photoshop without Classic already
running, Photoshop opens before the Optical startup item and you're still
stuck with Photoshop recognizing the wrong profile. I simply set Classic to
launch on OS-X log-in. Takes a bit longer to get the system going, but I
don't have to do this monitor profile dance any more.
