Well you can soft proof within Pantone's HexImage for Photoshop AND do
selective color adjustments in their new version. HexImage recognizes the
monitor profile, source and destination with rendering intents too. After
converting to a Hex profile in Photoshop you can *kind of* get a preview of
the Hex file as the multi-channel document has LAB values specified as the
Hex ink primaries for each color channel. But you are not per say using an
ICC Hex profile for previewing in Photoshop.
Monaco Profiler v4 allows you to preview and separate into 5,6,7, and 8
channel ICC profiles in their *tweak* module (profile editor). Monaco has
recently discontinued their MonacoColor plug-in for Photoshop. Designed
before Photoshop supported ICC profiles, MonacoColor could edit and tune
images while previewing Hexachrome ICC profiles. Too bad it was a good
product and useful.
Finally CB Edit allows you to edit and save out a Hexachrome separations
too.
