RIPs you are referring to.
First off DCS2 files are separated for print and are not designed to be
composited back -- that's why there separated.? Hexachrome certified
Contract proofers like a Dupont WaterProof w/ Hifi sheets or a PolaProof are
designed to proof these type of jobs. Roland's Hexachrome set-up may work
but the ColorChoice RIP leaves much to be desired IMO. I have not worked
with Roland used for proofing as of yet.
There are several RIPs that do allow proofing scenarios using Hexachrome
ICC profiles. I am not going to rattle off the manufactures as they will
pipe in accordingly.

iQue can convert EPS and PDF files using Hexachrome output profiles. They
key is using a file format that supports more than 4 colors beside DCS2. If
the document is properly specified with Pantone naming convention then iQue
will recognize the named colors with a good postscript file, EPS, or PDF.
The Pantone libraries iQue uses is LAB values which work nicely with Hex
profiles.
