I know we've been mostly discussing how to profile our little inkjets for
reproducing color images and optimizing the driver settings to extract
every last bit of gamut they have to offer, but what if your intent is to
print monochromatic images? I'd like to create a few profiles with the
intent of sending (more or less) completely desaturated RGB to the device.
I remember reading part of a thread where somebody had discovered a good
combination of driver settings for producing nice, smooth, neutral,
monochromatic images. I'm getting ready to produce a small edition of B&W
prints on Legion Concorde Rag paper and would like to avoid burning up a
whole box of paper just trying out all the different driver settings. I'll
be attempting to use ColorBlind Pro v4 for this purpose. as always,
everyone's thought are very appreciated. This is a knowledgeable and vocal
group!
